Murray Canyon
The Murray Canyon Trail is a nice short hike just south of Andreas Canyon in the Indian Canyons. there are longer , more adventurous hikes for those who are in better shape.
Andreas Canyon
The San Andreas hiking trail is nice and easy for most of the way. there are plenty of shady spots as you wind your way up next to the stream.
Aerial Tramway
If you want to escape the heat or in the winter trample in the snow, the Palm Springs Tramway is the perfect choice. Enjoy the beautiful steep terrain as you ascend the mountain in a rotating tramcar.
Historical note
